Bedridden Patient Care at Home
Caring for a fully bedridden patient is relentless work: turning every two hours, keeping skin dry, preventing aspiration during feeds, and watching for the pressure sore that can turn a stable patient into a hospital readmission within a week.

CareGlobal provides trained bedridden patient care across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane, with nurse supervision on skin and nutrition.

Bed Sore Prevention Protocol
Pressure sores form in hours and take months to heal. Our protocol is specific: two-hourly turning on a written schedule, sacrum, heels, hips and elbows inspected at every turn, skin kept dry with barrier cream, adequate protein and fluid intake tracked, and an air mattress recommended for any patient who cannot shift their own weight. Any grade-1 redness that does not blanch is photographed and escalated to the nurse supervisor the same day.
How It Works
- Free home assessment covering bed, mattress and room layout
- Attendant or nursing attendant matched to the care load
- Nurse supervisor sets the turning, feeding and hygiene schedule
- Daily written report with intake, output and skin status
- Hospital bed, air mattress and commode arranged on rent if needed
Local Coverage & Context
In older Mumbai flats in Dadar, Girgaon and Matunga, room size often decides what is possible - we assess whether a hospital bed can even be moved in before recommending one. In larger Navi Mumbai and Thane apartments we can usually set up a proper care corner with a hospital bed, air mattress and side table, which measurably reduces both bed sores and carer strain.
Specialised services
Hygiene & Feeding Support at Home
For a bedridden patient, daily hygiene and feeding are not small tasks - they are the difference between comfort and complications like infections, dehydration or pressure sores. Families often find these routines physically demanding and emotionally difficult to manage alone every single day.
ExploreBedsore Management at Home
Bedsores, or pressure ulcers, develop quickly when a patient stays in one position too long, and they can worsen fast without proper care. Managing them at home requires more than dressing changes - it needs consistent repositioning, nutrition support and close wound monitoring.
ExploreSuction Care at Home
Patients who cannot cough effectively - due to tracheostomy, stroke, advanced illness or prolonged bed rest - often need regular suctioning to clear secretions and keep their airway safe. Doing this incorrectly at home carries real risk, which is why trained hands matter.
