Safety and Infection Control
Home IV therapy fails on two things: cannula infection and unmonitored reactions. Our nurses follow a documented cannula change schedule, inspect the site at every single visit for redness, swelling or pain, use single-use sterile sets, and stay with the patient through the initial part of the first infusion of any new drug. Emergency medication instructions are confirmed with the prescribing doctor before the first dose.
